East Ottawa Girls Hockey Association & Bloom Hockey Forge New Development Partnership

Jul. 18, 2025

The East Ottawa Girls Hockey Association (EOGH) is thrilled to announce a dynamic new partnership with Bloom Hockey Training Centre, located at 1344 Youville Drive in Orléans. This collaboration will unlock exclusive access to Bloom Hockey’s cutting-edge synthetic ice facility—designed to elevate both competitive and house-league players across the association.

What the Partnership Means for EOGH

  1. Year-Round Synthetic Ice Training
Bloom’s synthetic ice delivers approximately 90% of the glide of real ice, making it perfect for repetitive skill work—even off-season. EOGH teams can now access dedicated ice time to sharpen:
  • Wrist and snapshot shooting mechanics,
  • Precision stickhandling, puck control, and agility,
  • Skating balance and edge technique.
  1. Seamless Integration with On-Ice Practices
By combining regular on-ice sessions with supplemental synthetic ice workouts, players gain greater repetition and muscle memory. The added resistance provided by synthetic surfaces also enhances strength and awareness.
  2. Tailored Sessions for All Levels
Both house league and competitive levels will benefit, with programs designed to match each group’s needs—from foundational mechanics to advanced tactics. Bloom’s flexible booking ensures teams can schedule sessions around games, tournaments, and practices.

This partnership with Bloom Hockey is a great opportunity to further enhance the development of our players. The combination of on-ice and synthetic-ice training will elevate the skills and confidence of our players.” - EOGH President, Rick Leach.
